This blog is so many things. It's a new beginning. It's memories of past events. It's looking forward to the future. I haven't blogged in so long and life has changed so much and so fast and so slow. The grammar part comes not from being an English teacher but from the great C.S. Lewis who said that we must learn to be adjectives, not the nouns.
hi- for the past hour, I've been trying to get a picture on the blog. I finally did it!!! This is my favorite Africa picture. It was taken at a football game that caused the whole town to shut down. I didnt see any of the game but I got to meet some cool kids and learn about personal space.

I'm a 10th grade English teacher at a suburban high school in Los Angeles. I've been teaching for 8 years and consider it what I'm supposed to do. Sometimes I cant believe that I'm on a faculty at a high school. It blows my mind that I get to hang out with teenagers and work with them and get paid.
